Top tips to keeping your skin healthy

Many of you may be wondering what skin care routine you should follow to keep your skin clean, glowing and fight against our biggest skin concerns!

Here is a guide to what to include in your daily skin care routine and why;

 Cleansers

Throughout the day the skin on your face is continuously covered with bacteria, pollutants, dirt and dead skin cells.  Cleansing clears the skin’s surface to allow products to soak deeper into the skins layers.

Toners

A toner should be used after cleansing this will help to remove excess cleanser and rebalance the skins natural ph. balance.  Using a facial spritz is a great way to ensure mid-day hydration when you feel your skin needs it.

Serums

Your skin ‘hero’, made up of smaller molecules that can penetrate the skin and deliver a very high concentration of active ingredients. Serums are your power product to help fight against your skin concerns such as ageing lines, breakouts or sensitivity. Use morning and evening under moisturiser.

Moisturisers & Eye creams

All skin types need lots of hydration to survive whether oily, dry or sensitive. They hydrate, protect sensitive skin and improve tone and texture. Moisturisers hold water in the outermost layers of the skin, forming a temporary protective barrier. They can vary in consistency from a light emulsion to a thick cream depending on your individual skin needs.

Oils

Facial oils are the most active product to use on your skin. They are used to rebalance. Oils should be used at night as your skin is most awake during the hours of 2am-4am. This is when our skin is going to take most of the benefits, giving rejuvenation, soothing, hydration or purifying and leaving youthful radiance.

Exfoliators

These smooth, increase cellular turnover and soften aging lines resulting in all over even-toned skin. They should be used once a week.

Masks

Face masks are used once a week to give your skin an extra boost, they hug the skin. This could either be by leaving it on 10-15 minutes and then removing or putting on overnight depending on the product or your skin type.

When using a good quality face product you will only need to use a small amount therefore these will last a few months before they will need replacing again.
